This diploma is prepared in 3 years, and confers the degree of Licence on its holders. It is aligned with international standards and facilitates exchanges with foreign universities. The Biological Engineering degree in Food Science and Biotechnology (SAB) is a national university diploma that prepares students for the following professions Assistant Engineer for control laboratories, research laboratories and companies in a variety of fields: food, cosmetics, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, etc. The IUT d'Avignon Université is located in the heart of the Avignon region. De nombreux professionnels de l’industrie alimentaire ou des laboratoires de recherche interviennent pour ces enseignements.
Des projets de recherche et développement sur les aliments et les biotechnologies de demain ainsi que trois stages sont obligatoires :
– 2 semaines en fin de première année de découverte du monde professionnel
– 8 à 12 semaines minimum de stage technicien en 2ème année
– 14 à 16 semaines de stage assistant ingénieur en 3ème année ou année en alternation
